Age <70, clinical lacunar syndrome, lacunar infarction on MRI, Caucasian ethnicity
Main Exclusion Criteria
Stenosis >50% or previous carotid endarterectomy, cardioembolic source of stroke, cortical infarct on MRI, subcortical infarct >1.5 cm, any other specific cause of stroke.
