Main Inclusion Criteria
|
Individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder who have previously made one or more suicide attempt. The relatives of individuals with bipolar disorder who died by suicide. Age 16 or over. No evidence of organic brain disease or learning disability Able to provide informed consent Fluent in English To have a fixed abode

Main Exclusion Criteria
|
An inability or unwillingness to provide written informed consent An inability to communicate fluently in written or verbal English Any participant where the GP, Consultant Psychiatrist or any member of the mental health team thinks it inappropriate or harmful to contact them Presence of any significant symptoms which would preclude participation in an interview
